‘Fatwa’ issued against Muslim minister in Bihar for chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’

A Muslim cleric on Sunday issued a “fatwa” against newly appointed Bihar minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Khurshid alias Firoz Ahmad for chanting Jai Shri Ram, saying his marriage would be terminated for his “mistake”.

An MLA from Sikta in West Champaran, Ahmad shouted the slogan, normally associated with BJP supporters, outside the Bihar assembly on Friday after chief minister Nitish Kumar won the trust vote he faced after breaking ties with the RJD-Congress alliance and joining hands with the BJP.

In Hindu mythology, Garuda is the mount of Lord Vishnu. Ram is an incarnation of Vishnu.

“It is the spirit of Ram that is important and there is no need to fan sentiments,” Shamshi said.

India has always been as a country of Ram and Raheem and there should not be any effort to create a divide, JD-U spokesman Neeraj Kumar said.

“Gandhi ji talked of Ram and Raheem in the same breath. Former president APJ Abdul Kalam observed both Ramazan and Navratra. Ahmad has just reflected the ‘Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb of the country,” he said.

As part of the so-called grand alliance, Nitish Kumar had worked hard to woo the Muslim community and his decision to join hands with the BJP is unlikely to go down well it.

His decision to go with the RJD and the Congress to oppose the “communal agenda” of the BJP saw the minority community support him in 2015 state election. Kumar had betrayed people of Bihar and joined hands with communal forces, his former allies have said.

फ्यूचर में चीन बड़ा खतरा होगा, उसकी इकोनॉमी पांच गुना बड़ी: इंडियन आर्मी

नई दिल्ली. इंडियन आर्मी के वाइस चीफ ऑफ स्टाफ लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल शरद चंद के मुताबिक, आने वाले कुछ साल में चीन भारत के लिए खतरा होगा। वाइस चीफ ने कहा- चीन हिमालय रीजन में दबदबा कायम करने की कोशिश कर रहा है। हालांकि, उसकी इकोनॉमी भारत की तुलना में पांच गुना बड़ी है और आर्मी भी ज्यादा है। पाकिस्तान का जिक्र करते हुए चंद ने कहा- वो हमारे स्कूलों को निशाना बनाता है, लेकिन भारत ऐसा नहीं करता।

हम स्कूलों पर फायरिंग नहीं करते

- वाइस चीफ ऑफ आर्मी स्टाफ लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल शरद चंद ने एलओसी के नजदीक स्कूलों पर फायरिंग पर कहा- पाकिस्तान स्कूलों पर फायरिंग कर रहा है, इस तरह की हरकत हमारी सेना कभी नहीं करती। 
- चंद ने कहा- हम जब भी जवाबी फायरिंग करते हैं तो ये तय कर लेते हैं कि सिर्फ पाकिस्तान आर्मी को निशाना बनाया जाए, किसी सिविलियन को फायरिंग के दौरान किसी तरह का नुकसान ना पहुंचे। दुख की बात है कि वो इस स्तर तक चले गए हैं कि स्कूलों को निशाना बना रहे हैं।

7 दिन पहले हुई थी स्कूलों पर फायरिंग
- पिछले मंगलवार (18 जुलाई) को राजौरी जिले के नौशेरा में पाकिस्तान की फायरिंग में दो स्कूलों के करीब 200 बच्चे फंस गए थे। आर्मी ने इन्हें बुलेटप्रूफ गाड़ियों में हिफाजत से उनके घर पहुंचाया था। 
- इसके बाद, भारत के डीजीएमओ ने अपने पाकिस्तानी काउंटरपार्ट से हॉटलाइन पर बात की थी। भारत के DGMO लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एके. भट्ट ने पाकिस्तान के DGMO मेजर जनरल साहिर शमशाद मिर्जा से कहा था कि मासूम स्कूली बच्चों पर फायरिंग किसी आर्मी को शोभा नहीं देती।

Microsoft Paint may be dead soon

San Francisco: Microsoft`s Windows 10 Fall Creators Update that is expected soon will feature a whole new bunch of tools and features, but it is going to kill the 1985-released image editing feature Microsoft Paint.

According to a report in the Guardian on Monday, alongside Outlook Express, Reader app and Reading list, Microsoft Paint has been signalled for death having been added to the "features that are removed or deprecated in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update" list.

In its Windows 10 Creators Update that was released in April, Microsoft introduced the new Paint 3D. But it does not behave like the original Paint and does not look like an update.

Though Paint was confined to bitmap and PCX formats only and was not much of a help in image editing, it was an easy option if someone wanted to scribble something or make a quick cut and paste job.

It is yet to be known when 32-year-old Microsoft Paint will officially be removed from Windows.

जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर में इन कारणों से आतंक विरोधी अभियानों को मिल रही सफलता

नई दिल्‍ली। हालिया समय में जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर में सीमा पार से घुसपैठ और आतंकी हमले की घटनाएं काफी बढ़ गई हैं। हालांकि जमीनी स्‍तर पर मजबूत खुफिया जानकारी और जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर पुलिस की सक्रिय भागीदारी के बलबूते महबूबा मुफ्ती सरकार आतंकवाद के खिलाफ लड़ाई में बढ़-चढ़ कर सहयोग दे रही है। इसकी वजह से राज्‍य में आतंकवाद विरोधी अभियानों की सफलता दर में भी सुधार हो रहा है।

टाइम्‍स ऑफ इंडिया के अनुसार, सरकारी सूत्रों का कहना है कि जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर पुलिस द्वारा व्‍यापक स्‍तर पर हासिल खुफिया जानकारी और संयुक्‍त अभियानों में राज्‍य पुलिस, सीआरपीएफ और सेना के बीच बेहतर समन्‍वय प्रमुख कारण हैं, जिनकी वजह से इस साल नौ जुलाई तक 95 आतंकियों को ढेर करने में सफलता हाथ लगी है। 2012-13 में मारे गए आतंकियों की तुलना में यह संख्‍या कहीं ज्‍यादा है। जबकि अभी पूरा साल बीता भी नहीं है।

गौरतलब है कि जम्‍मू-कश्‍मीर में आतंकवाद संबंधी हिंसक घटनाएं काफी बढ़ गई हैं। इस साल नौ जुलाई तक इस तरह की 172 घटनाएं दर्ज की गई हैं। मगर सुरक्षा अधिकारियों का कहना है कि ऐसा इसलिए है क्‍योंकि नियमित रूप से आतंकियों के साथ मुठभेड़ हो रहे हैं।

1100 jobs in IMD: SSC Scientific Assistants Recruitment 2017; check ssconline.nic.in

New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the recruitment application process for the Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department Examination, 2017.

The examination is held to fill 1100 jobs in the IMD.

Educational qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Physics as one of the subject)/ Computer Science/Information Technology/ Computer Applications OR Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognised Institution/University or equivalent.

The qualifying Degree or diploma referred above should be in First Class (60% marks) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale.

The qualifying Degree or Diploma referred above must be of three (3) years duration after (10+2) examination.

The applicant must have passed 10+2 Examination from a Recognized Board or equivalent in Science with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.

Maharashtra govt announces loan waiver for small, marginal farmers in view of hardships

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government on Sunday announced to waive the farmers' loans in view of the hardship faced by them in the state.

Confirming the government's decision, state Revenue Minister C Patil said, "CM had announced loan waiver for small and marginal farmers, today govt has accepted it based on certain criteria."

The announcement comes a day after the Devendra Fadnavis-led government set up a six-member team of ministers to look into the farmers' demands.

The farmers` strike completed 10 days on Saturday with an ultimatum to the state government to concede their demands, failing which the agitation will be further intensified from Monday.

Apart from ruling Shiv Sena and the Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana, the agitation has secured support of the opposition Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Aam Aadmi Party, all Leftist parties and 35 trade unions, NGOs and 35 farmers groups across the state.

Fadnavis, who earlier this week announced that the "biggest` loan waiver in state history was coming by October 31, had on Friday set up the ministerial group to resolve the famers issues.
